Two Dara’s teams participate in Trailwalker

Two teams on behalf of Dara Pharma have participated in the 7^th edition of Oxfam Intermon Trailwalker in Gerona on April 14 and 15, 2018. The Running Team, formed by Eric Pons from Project Management, Oriol Draper and Xavi Torrijos from Technical Department, and Héctor González from Machining Workshop, achieved the goal in 14 hours. This team was supported by Jordi López from Technical Department. The Walking Team, integrated by Marta Argemí from After-Sales Department, Santi Trullàs, Pilar Jiménez and María Nuñez from QA Department, reached the finish in 28 hours. The second support team was formed by Jaume Olivé from Laboratory, and Ignasi Méndez from Technical Department.

The employees of Dara Pharma have managed to raise more than 3000 euros to participate one more year in the Trailwalker. It is the second time the company participates in the event but the first time represented by two teams. The money has been collected through internal activities such as a Madrid-Barça bet, solidarity breakfasts, two raffles, the “butifarrada”, etc. For the organization of these activities there is a dedicated committee formed by employees of the different departments of the company. Moreover, one of Dara’s suppliers, Tecnic IND, made a donation of 500 euros (250 euros per team), and the company Dioniberica collaborated by giving materials.

The Trailwalker charity race started in Olot and finished in Sant Feliu de Guíxols, in a 100 km route that follows the Vía Verde (literally “green-way”). This “vía” has become a great stage for solidarity march to fight against poverty. Intermón organizes the race in Girona, Euskadi and Madrid, and the obtained money is destined to cooperation projects, humanitarian action, fair trade and awareness, in more than 90 countries around the world. Dara Pharma collaborates actively with solidarity projects and supports sports and healthy lifestyle.
