Last September 16, Friday, students of the Robotics Course of "Projecte Singulars", organized by PIMEC (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises of Catalonia), visited Dara Pharma's facilities to learn more about the use we make of robots in our equipment of complete aseptic packaging lines.
During the first stage of the visit, Eric Pons, Director of Customer Service & Qualification, explained to the students the history of Dara from its founding to the present day, and how we have evolved from just manufacturing tabletop equipment to the design, manufacture, and integration of complete lines for the most important pharmaceutical companies in the world.
Immediately thereafter, Xavier Carvajal, a Project Leader in the Automation Department, presented the students with some of Dara's equipment and lines that integrate robotic technology. In this way, they could realize how robots help us to increase the productivity and efficiency of our solutions, how they work, and how our staff carries out the programming of these systems.
In addition, the students had the opportunity to visit the production plant and see the robots working at full capacity in some machines in the pipeline, which especially caught their attention.
The "Connecta Jove VOr" project is part of "Projecte Singulars" call, which is funded by the Public Employment Service of Catalonia, the Spanish Ministry of Labor and Social Economy, and the European Social Fund (Youth Employment Initiative). The project has a planned duration of 10 months, until October 31, 2022.
This regional initiative is led and coordinated by PIMEC, with the participation, as executing entities, of Granollers Mercat EPE, the City Council of Les Franqueses del Vallès, the Regional Council of Vallès Oriental, and highly experienced schools such as Fundació Eurecat, Isoveri Formació and Acondicionamiento Tarrasense - LEITAT.
The project aims to professionally evaluate, guide, and help 120 young people from the Vallès Oriental region to find more job opportunities.
